E.C. Comstock
Comstock (all pronouns) is a clay-based interdisciplinary 3D artist based in Minneapolis, MN. They have spent time making work in Idaho, Utah, Colorado, North Carolina, and Montana.
Comstock’s work relishes in the interface between body and material. They generate abstracted tool forms which are swollen with the density of relational networks present in all matter. For Comstock, creation and activation of ceramic objects is a research method for cultivating permeability, locating new pathways to empathy, and wading into the ferality of desire.
